LPMC in patronage with the Royal College Doctor’s Association (RCDA) launched its latest project of producing educational videos to help students as well as elderly communities in the new normal environment. Through this initiative, LPMC expects to discuss the emerging social complications such as mental health, parenting issues, physical health and the side effects of continues online education in the COVID-19 and post COVID-19 environment. Doctors, Psychologists, Psychiatrists and experts in their respective fields of work have been chosen as resource personnel to produce the contents of these videos. The National Health Education Bureau contributes to this programme by ensuring the quality and standards of the video content.
The educational videos are uploaded to the Royal College Learning Management System so that these videos will have the widest reach covering the students, parents and teachers.
The first video of this series titled “Young Royalists – How to Make the Most out of Your Stay at Home” by Dr Miyuru Chandradasa (Child and Adolescent Psychiatric) who is also an Old Royalist was released in December 2020. This video attracted wider acceptance from students, teachers as well as the general public. The next video of the series is being produced for the release. All videos are accessible via this website.
All the videos are powered by our generous sponsor Sampath Bank PLC. The first video of the series is can be watched at;
