The Personality and Communication Skills Development programme of the Loyalty Pledge laid the foundation for GRANDEZA. Loyalty Pledge initiated the Personality and Communication Skills Development programme to develop and harness personality and leadership skills among the Royalists in the junior school. GRANDEZA was inaugurated in January 2023 to stage the artistic performances of students who participated in the Personality and Communication Skills Development programme of the Loyalty Pledge. Subsequently, it evolved into an organized stage event and its second version was held in July 2023. Today, it has further evolved into a large scale production enabling the students in that programme to unleash their talents and skills to a wider audience. The quality of production, vibrancy and scale of GRANDEZA have gradually enhanced year on year offering students the opportunity to perform at musical events of high stature at a very young age.
Loyalty Pledge wishes to extend its sincere appreciation to Mrs. Sagari Tharanga Wijesundara whose relentless efforts made GRANDEZA a reality. Further, her commitment to the Personality and Communication Skills Development programme is exemplary. Mrs. Wijesundara was supported by the staff of the College and students in composing music and choregraphing the items. Thanks to the efforts of Mrs. Wijesundara and rest of the staff at the College supporting her, GRANDEZA has become an annual event of the calendar of Loyalty Pledge.
Loyalty Pledge also wishes to thank its donors whose support has immensely benefitted the students at Royal. Loyalty Pledge would not have been able to embark on the projects of this nature where students are given the opportunity to harness their aesthetic talents and skills and showcase to the world, had not been for the valuable support of the donors.
